Welcome
I am a heritage consultant, researcher, writer and educator.
My interests and expertise cover a wide range of heritage specialities, gained from many years’ experience in the heritage industry.
My doctorate, gained at Bangor University, explores the challenges faced by heritage organisations in acknowledging the ways in which their assets and artefacts are connected to slavery and empire. I publish in peer-reviewed journals, speak at conferences across Britain and abroad and teach courses on history and heritage.
As a consultant, I work with organisations across the UK, helping them to attract funding, interpreting their sites to the public and developing strategies to help them manage their heritage assets.
My work challenges traditional presentations of history and I am committed to helping the heritage industry flourish in an increasingly challenging world.
